These are the questions I get most often
Who are you?

In short, I want you to FLOURISH! What do you eat?
I consider myself a qualitarian and a flexitarian. That’s great, but what does that mean, you ask? What I mean is that I eat all kinds of food, (I’m Italian, so I LOVE food!) but I try to get the best QUALITY of food possible (cough cough fresh, local and organic) and when it’s not available, I flex. I’m a firm believer that food is fuel and information and it is meant to nourish us, so I choose wisely in order to get the most return (energy) from my choices(food). Most of the time, I stick to a gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, chemical-free diet, filled with fresh, whole, plant-based foods and sprinkle in some high quality animal based foods like cage-free eggs, organic, grass fed beef and chicken and fresh fish. A typical day for me is a big glass of water when I get up, green smoothie for breakfast, salad or leftovers for lunch and some protein and veggies for dinner. My snacks vary based on what I’m in the mood for. It could be a trialmix day, it could be another green smoothie day, it could be some veggies and hummus day. It all depends what I feel like my body is asking for.
Does buying organic really matter?
I love this question and the answer is YES! Organic means fewer pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. Translation=Less chemicals on and in your food. Let’s remember what these pesticides do, folks! They kill living organisms, so we don’t want them in our cells. Here’s an evidence based article outlining more reasons to opt for organic http://www.rodalenews.com/agrochemicals. When choosing organic, I do recommend prioritizing your grocery list, so you can save some money since I understand shopping organically can get pricey. What do you like to do in your free time?
John Paul and I love hosting friends and family in our new bungalow on the San Francisco Bay. We recently moved to Northern California from Philadelphia, so we’ve enjoyed exploring our beautiful surroundings especially wine country. Some of our favorite things to do are float down the Russian River, hike at Stinson Beach, walk through the Red Wood forrests, standup paddleboard, soak up the sun on our deck or beach, yoga of all kinds, SoulCycle, and spending carefree timelessness with one another.
